Paradigm V8 Level 3 Overview
Paradigm V8 provides paperless modules for Charting, Perio Charting, Clinical Notes and eDocuments to record all your patient’s details electronically in Paradigm. Practitioners can create and review progress notes, create treatment plans, scan documents from the patient’s chart for easy access from any station in the office. The goal of this online course is to familiarize yourself with the paperless modules and is primarily desgined towards clinical staff such as dental assistants, dental hygienists and dentists.
We encourage you to go through all the material and watch the online videos. Logic Tech offers in-class training at our office in Markham. If you complete the online course and still feel the need for classroom training, please call our training coordinator at (905) 946-1477 or 1-800-655-5762 extension 221 to book your session.
CHARTING (ODONTOGRAM)
The digital Odontogram can be switched from a Permanent dentition to a Primary dentition (or mixed dentition).
The Charting module displays the patient’s odontogram with existing conditions, treatment plans and completed treatments. Colours separate the displayed layers:
1) Green = Existing Conditions
2) Red = Treatment Plans (or Estimates)
3) Blue = Completed Treatments
Note: You can customize the colours of each layer and you can choose which layers to show/hide
Completed services, estimates and treatment plans from the ledger are automatically displayed in the Charting. Use this module to post treatments from the chair to reduce wait time for your patient to be billed out by your front desk staff.
CLINICAL NOTES
Clinical notes has never been easier by using Templates or Predefined Text to enter your notes. With an all new interface, you can access your patient’s Medical Alerts, Medications and Prescriptions from the Clinical Notes. Paradigm will automatically lock your clinical note at the end of the day.
MEDICAL ALERTS
Paradigm tracks your patient’s medical alerts (conditions or allergies) and displays an icon on their appointment and in their clinical notes for easy access. You can customize the list of medical alerts and condition in Paradigm.
MEDICATIONS
It is important to keep up to date on your patient’s medications, with the latest Clinical Notes, Paradigm will keep track of any changes to your patient’s medications.
PRESCRIPTIONS
Save time by printing your prescriptions directly from Paradigm.
PERIO CHARTING
The Perio charting is used for all your soft tissue probing tracking. All saved exams can be viewed again or used for numerical comparisons.
TREATMENT PLANNING & PHASES
Use Paradigm to organize your pending treatments into phases.
EDOCUMENTS
Paradigm can store all your patient documents. You can scan your paper documents into Paradigm that can be accessed from any workstation in your office. You can also import image files and PDF files.
